Applied Software Technologies

Springfield, MA - 2015

In 2015, Paragus made our first acquisition when we took Applied Software Technologies under our wing. Founded in 1989, AST had sixty clients, but at the time of the acquisition they only had a single staff member to serve them. So not only did the AST founder get a great exit plan for his business, but the clients also got a major upgrade in resources and technology.

Comportz technologies

worcester, MA - 2021

Our acquisition of Comportz Technologies in 2021 was our first big step toward expanding into Worcester and central Massachusetts, a move we’d been strategically planning for a long time. Like many other businesses at the time, Comportz offices had been closed for most of the pandemic, with all staff working remotely. Shortly after the acquisition, Paragus opened a brand-new office in downtown Worcester and brought the entire Comportz staff into the fold. We also retained the majority of their clients. Since arriving in Worcester, Paragus has created the Paragus Firehouse Cook Off, sponsored the Worcester Business Journal’s Outstanding Women In Business event, and made many connections with local businesses and in the community as a whole.
